- Do I need a card for the Free plan?
- No. The Free plan costs nothing and asks for no card. It covers 1 site with 6 monitors, checked as often as every hour, and sends alerts by email.
- What counts as a monitor?
- One check of one address: robots.txt, Sitemap, ads.txt, app-ads.txt, Uptime and SSL certificate. When you add a site, SEOComet finds its robots.txt, the sitemaps robots.txt lists (or /sitemap.xml), ads.txt and app-ads.txt, and adds a monitor for each, plus uptime for the home page and SSL for https sites, up to your plan's limit. 6 monitors is enough for all of that on a site with one sitemap.
- How often are sites checked?
- Each monitor has its own interval. The defaults are robots.txt every hour, Sitemap every 6 hours, ads.txt every hour, app-ads.txt every hour, Uptime every 5 minutes and SSL certificate every 12 hours. You can change them, but not below your plan's minimum: every hour on Free, every 5 minutes on Pro and every minute on Agency. On a plan with a longer minimum, the defaults are raised to it.
- Which alert channels can I use?
- Free has 1 alert channel, email only. Pro and Agency add Slack and signed webhooks, with 10 channels on Pro and 50 channels on Agency.
- How does billing work?
- Prices are in US dollars. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew on their own until you cancel. You enter card details on Stripe’s pages, so they never reach our servers.
- Can I cancel or change plans?
- Yes, at any time, in the billing portal under Settings, Billing. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve paid for and you keep the plan until then. We don’t refund part-used periods unless the law requires it.
- What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
- Monitors over the new plan's limits are paused until you upgrade again, and check history older than the new plan allows is deleted after 30 days.
- What if a payment fails?
- Stripe retries it. If it still doesn’t go through, the workspace moves to the Free plan.
- Is a plan per person or per workspace?
- Per workspace. Each workspace has one owner, who controls its members, plan and billing, and the member limit counts everyone in it. One person can own up to 2 Free workspaces; paid ones don’t count toward that.
- Will the price of my subscription change?
- If it does, we’ll email the workspace owner before a new price applies to an existing subscription.
