Summary email

A daily or weekly email about what happened on your sites, sent in the morning in your time zone. It’s off until you turn it on.

Updated

The summary email is one message about all your sites: what’s still open, what was fixed and how each site did. It doesn’t replace alerts. Alerts still go out as things happen.

Turn it on

The summary email is set per person, so each person on the account picks their own. It’s off until you turn it on.

  1. Open Profile from the menu under your name.
  2. In Summary email, set Send it to Daily or Weekly, on Mondays.
  3. Check Your time zone, then save.

It goes to the email address on your profile, once that address is verified.

What’s in it

The email covers every site you can see, in every account you belong to, including sites shared with you.

  • Open now: incidents still open, worst first, with when each opened and whether it’s muted.
  • Resolved: incidents that closed during the period, newest first.
  • A row per site with its home page’s uptime for the period, how many checks ran, how many incidents opened, and changes worth knowing about: robots.txt changed, ads.txt changed or the sitemap lost URLs.

Each incident and site links to its page in SEOComet. A long list ends with a count of the ones left out.

When it arrives

It goes out soon after 08:00 in your time zone.

  • Daily covers 08:00 the day before to 08:00 this morning. A day with nothing open, nothing opened or resolved and no changes sends no email.
  • Weekly, on Mondays covers the seven days up to 08:00 on Monday morning. It goes out even on a quiet week.

If you can’t see any sites, nothing is sent.

Turn it off

Every summary email ends with a Turn it off link. It works without signing in: open it and confirm with Turn off summary email. Incident alerts aren’t affected.

You can also set Send it back to Off in your Profile at any time.
